Hailing from Arizona, Connecticut, and Florida, The Bayou Krewe has lived together at Tulane University in New Orleans since meeting freshman year. Nick Feichtel is a finance major, but more importantly an avid skateboarder, ultimate frisbee player, and adventurer. Ethan Gasta, an engineering physics major, worked at NASA this past summer after winning the NASA Big Idea Challenge. In his free time, he works on various 3D printing projects and takes long walks on the beach with his girlfriend. Jeff Nagler recently applied to medical school and hopes to one day fulfill his dream of becoming a physician. Aside from school, he is a passionate sand-volleyball player and loves to bike, kayak, and hike whenever he gets a chance.
We are three adventurous individuals trying to make the most of our senior year and are ready for any challenge we may face. Whether it is sleeping on the street, bartering for necessities, or turning complete strangers into friends, we will do whatever it takes to reach a goal that we set for ourselves. When combining our diverse temperaments, talents, and convictions into one team, we know that we will make it.
Hey y'all, my name’s Ethan I'm a Senior at Tulane University studying Engineering Physics. I'm one of those exhausting people who never stops going. My main goal in life is to make the most memories as possible and I plan on continuing to do this until my body can’t keep up anymore. Whether that means creating videos, designing and building machines, or going out and meeting new people, I am always at it 100%.
Completing this Red Bull challenge is the continuation of my yearly national competition streak. Last year I won the National NASA BIG Idea Challenge by designing a spacecraft so I am excited to jump off of my desk and adventure across Europe for my next event. Personally I have never ventured across the Atlantic so I am curious of the opportunities I will find but you should all be sure that I won’t turn down any. Follow The Bayou Krewe to keep up with Nick, Jeff, and I as we explore!
Hey y’all! My name is Jeff Nagler and I could not be more excited about this opportunity. I’m originally from a city called Boca Raton in Southeast Florida where not much really happens, so you could say I’m pretty stoked to travel across Europe using only Red Bull with 2 of my best friends. At Tulane, I’m a Neuroscience and Philosophy major on the pre-med track, but when I’m not in the library you can find me on the sand volleyball court pretending I know how to actually play. My biggest claim to fame though, is that I’m my parent’s favorite child, technically an only child, but I don’t really see the difference.
Find out what I’m up to on Instagram (@jeffnagler) and I’ll see you in Europe!
Sup y’all, my name’s Nick and I’m a senior at Tulane University studying Finance. I was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania (Fly Eagles Fly), but grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I am a total neat freak and my roommates love how clean I keep the house. If you don’t find me whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, then I’m likely in my room playing some smooth jazz on my saxophone. But more than anything else, I am a pizza connoisseur and an avid napper, both qualities that should help me go far in Europe.
