We are three enthusiastic, motivated and adventurous university of Glasgow first year students. The team comprises of Kathryn, who is from Northern Ireland, Sarah, both Spanish and Swedish, and Daniela (Ntaniela), half Greek and half Venezuelan. Even though we all come from very different cultural backgrounds, we have found an incomparable friendship, through, firstly, being flatmates. With things that we share in common (like our love for dancing) making every moment spent together enjoyable, and things that set us apart and highlight our individuality (like our cultures) teaching us daily more about each other.
We have decided to participate in Red Bull's Can You Make It? project because we thought it would be a great opportunity for us to experience something completely out of our comfort zones, while still taking advantage of our dauntless youth. We wanted to make everything quite personal, but still appealing to the public, and so, we chose footage of our everyday lives that reflect our personalities and routines. Our team name, Team Hive, also originates from our university's union where we have spent so many memorable moments together
Hey I’m Kathryn
“Fun” facts about me include:
I can start a fire from scratch, I can’t swim, I’ve never broken a bone, I can play 6 instruments, I know 5 types of dance, 2 types of martial arts and can speak roughly 1 language. I am also too strongly invested into conspiracy theories and have little to no geographical knowledge.
If I had to describe myself in 3 words it would be omnipotent, under-achieving, a bit confused, and, for the most part, tolerable.
Hi world, I am Daniela, a 19 year old Neuroscience student at Glasgow university.
I am half Venezuelan and half Greek, three quarters crazy and one quarter spicy........
Very organised individual, since I plan my daily mental breakdowns so they don't coincide with my biology and chemistry labs.
I went on to doing Neuroscience hoping to find what is wrong with me and my brain; I have noticed since a young age some malfunctions and I aim to fix them.
Main hobby: avoiding the gym when my friends ask me to go.
"She's a great kid. Anyone would be lucky to have her in their lives" -My Mom
I would like to add that Kathryn is most certainly NOT omnipotent......
Sarah Molina Esteves
An 18 year old Mathematics student. I like to think of myself as an adventurous, positive and determined girl, this is of course exhausting, hence why I feel the need to nap, a lot. Whenever I do get out of bed I enjoy exploring new places, surfing, climbing and dancing, among a few other things.
Can't wait to nap in different countries across Europe, the adventure awaits →
