How to Apply

Ready. Set. Apply.

Gather a team of three friends. Make sure every team member is a current university student over the age of 18 and that they are not considered a minor in the jurisdiction of their residence. We are looking for teams that are adventurous and have an up-for-anything attitude. Then create a minute-long video explaining why your team should be chosen. Film it however you want – with your phone, a professional camera or through a saved Instagram or Snapchat story – and upload to Youtube or Vimeo and submit your application. Your video will then be subject to a public vote. Gather support, because the teams that receive the most votes from each country will become finalists! A panel of judges will then select the winning teams from the pool of finalists after the public voting period ends.

How it Works

It's not a Race. It's an Adventure.

Selected teams will be flown to one of the five Starting Points in Europe: Madrid, Budapest, Manchester, Stockholm and Rome. Each team will hand over their cash, cards and phones in exchange for 24 cans of Red Bull and a smartphone equipped with an unlimited data plan. On 10 Apr 2018 @ 10:00am UTC, all teams will leave from the Starting Points at the same time and have one week to make it to Amsterdam. Along the way, teams create their own path by visiting Checkpoints in European cities, posting photos and videos of their journey, completing as many tasks of the Adventure List, and receiving support from their followers back home. See Event Rules for more information.

Using Red Bull as Currency

What is a Red Bull Worth?

Each team will begin their journey with 24 cans of Red Bull. Teams will have to rely on their bartering skills and charm to trade Red Bull for everything they need on the journey — food, a place to sleep, transportation to the next location and other adventures that make the experience truly epic. Teams must visit at least 6 Checkpoints before reaching Amsterdam. At each of them, they will be tasked with a challenge that will test their body and mind. They will vary in difficulty and will require strategy & creativity. If a team successfully completes a Checkpoint Challenge, they are rewarded with more cans of Red Bull for the journey.

The Final Destination

The Journey Ends but the Memories are Forever.

Teams have seven days to reach Amsterdam, where all students will eventually make it and be able to share their adventure and experience with one another. The winning team will be rewarded with an amazing prize. The real reward for teams however, are the memories and experiences they've collected along this once-in-a-lifetime journey.

If You Can't Make It

Making it all the way across Europe is no easy feat, and there may be some teams that can't complete the task. If a team decides they can't make it, they can either break into their emergency envelope to use their personal funds to get to Amsterdam, or contact Central Command who be able to arrange for the team to be transported back home. Serious violation of the Event Rules, Code of Honor, or the law can result in a team being disqualified from Red Bull Can You Make It? In this case, the team will be responsible for their own transport home immediately.
